Delivered by Dr Olga Martin-Ortega, this half day course will give an overview of the social and human rights risks in the supply chain of products procured by the higher education sector and the responsibilities of public buyers towards these chains. It will provide the international and national context and specific assessments of industry conditions. In particular it focuses on the new obligations under the Modern Slavery Act and will ensure that you not only understand your modern Slavery statement but also the requirements to develop this over time.
Attendance at this event will also contribute to your CIPS CPD hours - you will be able to claim 3.5 taught hours via the CIPS website.
Please note that this course is only open to BUFDG and HE purchasing consortia members
