About us

The Greenwich Circular project aims to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns as part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG12). As part of the project we are organising a range of activities to raise awareness, partner with local social entrepreneurs, academics and institutions. Greenwich Circular Textiles built on our previous project Un/Archived Textiles and has grown to be a sustainability hub in our community.

As part of this project we have organised clothes swaps, workshops and festivals! We partnered with the Royal Society of Arts for our first clothes swap in 2020. Check out our Greenwich Circular Textiles Festival in July 2021, including a repair and upcycling station, a sustainable make up creation counter and a highly successful clothes swap with more than 400 items of clothing finding new homes. Our Winter Festival in November 2021 showed the great appetite for the student and wider community for clothes swaping and reparing!

We were nominated to a Green Gown Awards for Benefit of Society in 2021 for this work!
